Fighting My Survival

0:00

I was diagnosed in October 2007. The hardest part was it came a year after my parents died. I have not had an abundance of support as I really don't have any. My own support is my horses and my dogs. Riding is my passion and my therapy. My mother always told me I was a survivor and that is what I hold on to. I am now a 4 year survivor of stage 2 breast cancer. I have lost much of my self esteem, but, I will continue to survive. Having had a single mastectomy is devastating, but I am still the same woman I was,I just keep holding on.
I envy all of you who have family to support you. Hold on to that. You are lucky. We have to be strong and survive together. God bless us all. Laura A.
