Hi,
I am a 55 year old single mother of 5 grown adults & grandmother of 19,with 15 of them being girls and 4 boys.I had breast cancer in April of 2007.I had the surgery on Aug.13,2007.As of Nov.of 2010 I was still cancer free, however I have my Nov.2011 mammogram scheduled and I am a bit worried. You see on 3-25-11 my neighbors apt.caught fire and my apt was at the end on our balcony,I was trapped and had to jump off the balcony which resulted in my shattering all the bones in my right foot which has left me wheelchair bound.I am currently going to compression treatments to assess the swelling then because I am Diabetic the bones healed incorrectly and I have to have Fusion Surgery done as soon as the swelling is controlled. So in essence I have a lot on my plate right now, therefore I pray that my mammogram is successful, and I can then focus on being able to walk again. It has been 7 months that I haven't been able to walk. Also in Oct. of 2007 I lost my father to Cancer.I am thankful that I am still here and didn't suffer more severe injuries.I cherish every moment that I live, because we never know when it can be our last.I have to be here for my family, for my strength may help them to overcome whatever may lie in their future. This is why I believe I survived the incidents that have occured. My Prayers and Blessing go out to all whom have gone through the heart breaking news of Cancer.
